Before You Write
If you're looking for an answer to a specific question, we might already have it published. Check the How Tos section first, browse the materials guide, or scan the seasonal checklist for the task you're about to tackle. Most common questions about gutters, flashing, shingles, and DIY safety are already covered in detail.

We may not be able to help with: specific engineering or building-code questions for your local jurisdiction, structural assessment without an in-person visit, or emergency repair situations that need immediate professional attention.
What We Do Not Do
This is a roofing and building-materials resource site, not a contracting company or a quote service. We don't estimate project costs, review photographs of your roof to diagnose problems, or provide binding guidance on whether a repair is safe to attempt yourself. For any of those things, a licensed roofer or structural engineer is the right call. We help you understand the fundamentals, compare materials, and ask the right questions when you talk to contractors.
